Task 1 LO2- Sharing of technology

Rheingold (1991) foresaw the sharing of technology, software, ideas and content and termed the phrase electronic agora.

This describes the online meeting places (forums and chatrooms) where people can discuss topics, ideas and ways to achieve collaboration of projects.

An example of online forums:

Social media (Instagram, Youtube, Reddit), Gamespot, Quora (https://www.quora.com), Stack overflow (https://stackoverflow.com)

Freedom of speech versus inciting hate speech is where you are free to have an opinion  Role of regulatory bodies- Independent Press Standards Organisation IPSO, Ofcom in production of online content. Explain why personnel should be mindful of what they put on social media?

Personnel should be mindful about what they put on social media as it can result in the person losing their job if they harshly criticise the company they work for or the job they do. This is the case for Kaitlyn Walls as she posted on Facebook that she hates being around kids and hated her job role as a employee in a day care centre.
